SROriginals is here to create unique jewelry that is wearable and beautiful. I strive to produce well-designed and affordable pieces to express your personal style. With many years of experience, I can create a variety of styles, from big and beautiful to small and dainty. I look forward to working with you.
Since I was a child, I have been fascinated by "sparkly rocks" and glass beads. I have been collecting these for years. Once I discovered silver, I really began having fun. I can beat on the silver and play with the torch. Then I can put the resulting shiny things with semi-precious stones or glass beads to create wonderful treasures. I would like to share my work with you.
BACKGROUND
I generally work with sterling silver and copper, forging and fabricating earrings, necklaces, rings, bracelets, and pins. I often work with freshwater pearls, amber, vintage and lampwork glass beads, and natural stones. Sometimes I make pendants of fused silver to complete a particular vision. Some of my designs are inspired by ancient Greek and Roman designs, others come from squiggles that I doodle on scraps of paper. I also sometimes teach jewelry-making classes, and have researched a variety of techniques for creating jewelry. With over 50 years of jewelry design experience, I have developed a wide variety of techniques I can use to create just what you are looking for.
At various times I have been a member of the Dallas Craft Guild, Dallas Bead Society, Texas Designer/Craftsmen, Dallas Makerspace and other arts organizations.
At one time, I made beautiful porcelain vases with ruffled edges. The few I still have are shown in the Porcelains category.

CLASSES
For those in the DFW area, I teach several jewelry classes each month at Dallas Makerspace, 1825 Monetary Lane, Carrollton, TX suite 104, at the north end of the building. (Near I35E and Valwood Parkway) Classes are listed on dallasmakerspace.org/events. There are lots of classes on many topics. You can filter the category by "jewelry" (or other area of interest) to see a reduced list. My classes are commonly 7 - 9 pm on a Wednesday or Thursday, sometimes Sunday afternoons. Hope to see you there.
For lots of Information about sizes, materials and stones that I use in making my jewelry, please see the Jewelry Information page, which has more than you probably wanted to know about what goes into jewelry. Hope you find it useful. And feel free to contact me if you have questions about it.
